Individual note: Mary Jane was born in Maerdy, Rhondda. She was known as ''Jinny'
Her mother died when Mary Jane was young and she stayed home to help look
after the family with her sister who was a dressmaker.
Met A;lbert George Martin in the English Baptist Chapel in Maerdy in
1906. Married in 1909 at Pontypridd registry office.
Set up home in 15, The Avenue,Tonyrefail in 1927.
Mary Jane died at home in Tonyrefail after a long illness. She was
cremated at Glyntaff Crematorium, Pontypridd.

railways and met his wife while working in Wales.
Worked as a boilerman in Maerdy Colliery ( Sons birth cert shows Colliery
Stoker.)
1891 Census for 19, Pentre Road, Maerdy showsThomas as head and
occupation as Stoker(stationary engine). The house was shared. 2 rooms
occupied by Cook family, 3 rooms occupied by Martin family, 1 room
occupied by lodger Harry Cobbley.
Killed by a runaway horse and cart in Markham, Monmouthshire in 1934.
