THE CROESFFORDD CENTRE
The Croesfford was known as The Hostel to many local people, and was a hostel for workers at the munitions factory during the second world war. It later was turned into a community centre for Rhigos people. It contained a gymnasium, kitchen, a snooker and billiards room, and a dance hall that at the time had one of the best dance floors in the valleys. There were other rooms that were used for all kind of functions. For years there was a very good youth club running there. It eventually was converted to an industrial unit.
In 2009 sadly this is all that remains of the Hostel a building that over the years gave lots of pleasure and entertainment to the people of Rhigos.
